Locally, the City of Los Angeles Commission on the Status of Women, which hosted the event with us, investigates problems and conditions affecting women negatively and recommends solutions; promotes awareness of gender-based inequities in the workplace; and collaborates with groups that help to remove barriers to women reaching their full potential.
